About the Doctors

Dr. Cindy Lamerson, MD, FAAD

Board-Certified Dermatologist
Board Certified, Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery Subspecialty

Dr. Lamerson has been practicing dermatology for over 25 years and is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology with training in cosmetic, surgical, and general dermatology. She is one of only a handful of dermatologists in Nevada with a Board Sub-Certification in Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery, and has successfully completed thousands of Mohs Micrographic Surgery procedures. Her practice also includes general, pediatric, cosmetic and surgical dermatology. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and is a member of numerous medical societies and associations including the American Society for Mohs Surgery. In addition, she is Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Nevada School of Medicine and is actively involved in the education of the next generation of Nevada physicians. She has received numerous awards for teaching and research, and has authored over a dozen articles in scientific journals and chapters in medical textbooks. Her involvement in research also applies to pharmaceutical research, and she has been Principal Investigator for dozens of clinical studies looking at acne, psoriasis, eczema, basal cell carcinoma, onychomycosis, actinic keratosis, warts, herpes, and MRSA.

Originally from Michigan, Dr. Lamerson received her Medical Doctor (MD) degree from the Medical College of Virginia and completed residency training at the University of Cincinnati School of Medicine. She enjoys all the seasons and the many activities that Northern Nevada provides.

Dr. Galia Meiri, MD, FAAD

Board Certified Dermatologist

Dr. Meiri is a Board-Certified Dermatologist who has been practicing dermatology for over 25 years. She received her Bachelor’s degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), her Master’s degree in Medical Arts from Boston University, and her Medical Doctor (MD) degree from the State University of New York Health Sciences Center in Brooklyn, NY. She completed both her medical internship and dermatology residency at the University of Cincinnati School of Medicine.

Dr. Meiri’s specialties include general dermatology, dermatologic surgery and cosmetic procedures, including sclerotherapy, Botox, fillers, and laser treatments. She is highly skilled in both adult and pediatric dermatology as well as diagnosing and treating skin cancers. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and Certified by the American Board of Dermatology.

In her free time, Dr. Meiri enjoys hiking the many trails in Nevada and California, as well as mountain biking, and skiing in the winter.

Dr. Ashley Vazeen, DNP, APRN, NP-C

Doctor of Nurse Practitioner

Dr. Vazeen is a licensed Doctor of Nurse Practitioner certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Originally from Louisiana, she graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1996 and then went on to complete her Master’s degree in Nursing from the Orvis School of Nursing at the University of Nevada, Reno, in 2015. In 2022, she graduated with the prestigious Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Nevada, Reno which is the highest achievement possible for a Nurse Practitioner. She is also a member of the Adjunct Faculty for the University of Nevada, Reno, and teaches dermatology to Nurse Practitioner students in UNR’s Orvis School of Nursing. During her undergraduate training, she was inducted into the National Honor Society of Nursing and was on the Dean's List for academic excellence. She was also admitted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing during her post-graduate studies. She received UNR’s Directors Award for maintaining a 4.0 throughout her post-graduate and Doctoral studies. Prior to joining the Nevada Center for Dermatology, she practiced surgery for several years, so she brings a great deal of technical and surgical expertise to her practice. In addition, she has over fifteen years of experience doing cosmetic procedures, including injecting Botox and numerous cosmetic fillers.

Dr. Vazeen regularly attends national meetings related to dermatology and works closely with Dr. Lamerson, MD, and Dr. Meiri, MD, to stay on top of the latest dermatologic literature and evidence-based best practices.

Aside from her dedication to her patients and spending time with her family, she enjoys running, biking, and skiing and is an active member of her church family.

Dr. Lisa Zaleski-Larsen, DO, FAAD, ABVLM Dipl.

Double Board-Certified Dermatologist
Cosmetic Fellowship Trained

Dr. Zaleski-Larsen has been Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology for over 13 years with subspecialty training in Cosmetics and Venous Medicine. Her specialties include general dermatology, dermatologic surgery and cosmetic procedures, including Botox, fillers, and laser treatments.

Originally from Maryland, Dr. Zaleski-Larsen received her Medical Doctor (DO) degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine and received the prestigious Health Professions Scholarship Program Award with the United States Navy. She served in the United States Navy as an Internal Medicine intern at National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda and completed her Dermatology Residency training at Naval Medical Center San Diego. She also served as the Senior Medical Officer aboard the USS Gunston Hall with deployments to the Middle East during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

She later served as the head of Dermatology at Naval Medical Center, Okinawa and returned to teach at the Dermatology Residency Program at Naval Medical Center, San Diego. She completed her cosmetic fellowship at Cosmetic Laser Dermatology in San Diego and obtained a second board certification in Venous and Lymphatic Medicine specializing in varicose veins. Dr. Zaleski-Larsen has multiple publications in peer reviewed journals, written book chapters, and has been a speaker at medical conferences.

Dr. Zaleski-Larsen enjoys the many opportunities for hiking, photography, and skiing in the Reno area. She is excited to provide the best possible care for her patients in Reno.
